A beloved dog that helps people with autism has vanished from her Cheshire home.
Roxy, a five-year-old black Labrador bitch, suddenly disappeared from a farm in Congleton on August 26 and has not been seen since.
The pooch’s owners are left heartbroken and suspect evil thanks to the mysterious circumstances during which Roxy went missing.
“I do not know whether we are ever getting to see her again,” said Caroline Preston, Roxy’s owner.
“It’s been a fortnight now, you are feeling disorientated, gutted, and just in shock.
“I can’t sleep, you physically desire your heart and throat has just been squeezed.”
Caroline and her husband Andrew, also like other members of staff and family, run Autism Dogs CIC, a corporation that trains therapy dogs and runs Assistance Dog Programmes for people diagnosed with special needs and ASD.
